My goals are simply to run for pleasure, try an occasional 5K and try to keep in shape. Most of my PRs listed above were set when I was in my late 20s, early 30s, when my weekly mileage often exceeded 45 miles. I'm 55 now and still enjoy running, even more so than when I was younger and faster. I'm so slow now I can smell the honeysuckles on my Sunday morning "long run" of 4 miles. I would like to work back up to about 15-20 miles a week with a long run of 6 miles if my legs can take the pounding. I would also like to run a sub 20:00 5K.
Long-Term Running Goals:
To continue running consistenty as long as I can. I've discovered the pure joy of running and it's not how fast or how long I can go. Now it's simply enjoying the experience.
